In all the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season, we often
forget to stop and focus on the real reason for the season. We are so busy with
trying to figure out how to fit all the extra shopping and parties, and stuff
we buy, it’s easy to lose sight of the real reason for the season. We spend more time looking for the extra
money in the budget to buy all that stuff than spend focusing on why we do it
all.
For Christians, it’s a time to reflect on the wonder and majesty
of our Creator. No matter what our religious beliefs are, this time of the year
is a perfect time to reflect on how we have spent our time and with whom. It is a
time to take a look at how we spent money and other resources. It is an opportunity to put a little
more effort into making sure we are creating the best reflection of who we are
to the people around us. Let’s not get so busy with all the stuff on our lists
that we forget to stop and appreciate all the blessings in our lives.
